Loaded tractor/trailer units
are often very difficult, and sometimes impossible to off-load
once they have been overturned but with our Air Cushion Recovery
System of 100 ton capacity, City Wide Towing is fully capable of
handling any kind of accident or overturned tractor/trailer. The
quickest and most cost efficient method of recovery is to
upright the unit loaded, and we do this with our low pressure
Air Cushion Recovery Unit. What does this mean for our
customers? It means damage free towing without extra
inconvenience and cost.
Our
recovery vehicle carries a comprehensive lighting system.

As
many as ten 500-watt quartz halogen lights...

can
be utilized to illuminate a recovery scene.
We
truly are a 24-hour business, capable of operating at
night on the darkest highway!
Power
for the lighting system is created by a 5000-watt 120/240
VAC Generator
That
also powers various electrical components in the recovery
vehicle. A series of junction boxes and extension cords
enables lights to be placed up to 500 feet from the power
source. A portable "Genset" generator is also
available and is easily carried to a remote area.

If a larger area must
be illuminated, we have a 6000-watt Lister Diesel generator
Lighting Tower System. This is a self-contained trailer unit complete
with four 1000-watt metal halogen lamps.

tractor/trailer units are loaded with hazardous
commodities, |
| which might make
recovery difficult and/or dangerous. However, City Wide Towing's
professional recovery team cooperates closely with the Fire
Department and with the HAZMAT (hazardous Materials) Team to
bring dangerous situations under control safely and efficiently. |

Our
diverse fleet also includes a Tracked Recovery Unit, which
maneuvers easily in regions where standard tow trucks
might have difficulty. Is your vehicle stuck off-road
somewhere, deep in the bush? No problem! Our Tracked
Recovery Unit can get to you and your vehicle quickly and
efficiently, where ever you might be.
